The property consists of a unique award winning 'earth sheltered' house on a working 15 acre small holding. The house is built into the side of a hill with most of the roof and the front of the house covered in grass.

(Kalulu actually means "rabbit"). The visible parts of the house are finished in local red sandstone and natural green slate. The environmentally friendly construction was designed to make the most of the passive solar gain from the south facing site, with surplus heat being stored in the indoor swimming pool. The house won an architectural design award in 2002.

Sportsmen and women are welcome to bring their dogs, which can be accommodated in our 'earth sheltered' kennels.
